While making Slider- Ambient Excursions for Pedal Steel Guitar, a typical day began by taking a walk in the park near where I live. Part of the terrain now covered by this park was once a quarry. The pits left by the quarry are now ponds. Shinn Pond is one of those ponds. Not exactly Walden, but better than a sharp stick in the eye.
